GHAZNI PROVINCE, AFGHANISTAN – Afghan Local Police recovered a significant cache of explosives and explosives-making material in Muqor district, March 18.
All evidence was collected, and the explosive hazards were transported to a local disposal area and destroyed by detonation.
The cache consisted of over 130 liters of explosive materials in plastic bottles, over 230 pounds of explosive powder, four blocks of TNT, over 1,000 feet of detonation cord, and multiple detonators.
ALP complement counterinsurgency efforts by assisting and supporting rural areas with limited Afghan National Security Forces presence, in order to enable conditions for improved security, governance and development.
