FORT MCCOY, Wis. - Maj. Gen. Karen E. LeDoux assumed command of the 88th Regional Support Command from Brig. Gen. Alton G. Berry during a change of command ceremony at Fort McCoy, Wis., Feb. 9.

LeDoux accepted the 88th’s colors that date back to Camp Dodge, Iowa in 1917 from Maj. Gen. Glenn J. Lesniak, deputy command general-Support, U. S. Army Reserve, then returned them to Command Sgt. Maj. Michael B. Koszuta showing her trust and confidence in the command’s senior enlisted Soldier.

“Brig. Gen. Berry, you have done a magnificent job the past nine months and your care and leadership is evident throughout the command and I look forward to working with you and the 88th Regional Support Command Family as we continue to provide world-class support to our supported units,” said LeDoux.

She adds, “The 88th RSC already has established an excellent track record of providing superb support to operational, functional and training commands of the U.S. Army Reserve. We will continue to raise the bar on excellence and work with the other RSCs to standardize business processes across USARC.”

The accomplishments during the past year consisted of construction projects, environmental impact reduction, work orders, promotion and award boards, base operations along with a plethora of support items that directly affect the operational, functional and training commands.

LeDoux takes over the 88th RSC at a crucial time of budget issues and operational drawdown her challenges will effect essential base operations support in the areas of personnel, operations, information management, logistics and facility management in their new 19-state region in the northwest quadrant of the country.

“The 88th RSC's staff is comprised of professional subject-matter experts throughout the command. These professionals work well together as a team where the focus is on providing best in class service to 566 units throughout a 19-state area of responsibility. The command culture is one that blends the best from these qualified professionals to maintain a high level of service,” said Berry.

“Having served as both commanding general and deputy commanding general, I ensure the command's focus and resources are devoted to those we serve. Maj. Gen. LeDoux, the 88th has competed for the army communities of excellence award and I look forward to witnessing you being the recipient of this special recognition,” he added.

In her civilian life, LeDoux is employed by Logistics Technology G
