BAGHDAD – National police officers and infantry Soldiers assigned to 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division captured a suspected criminal leader in the New Baghdad District of eastern Baghdad, Dec 11.
Policemen from 2nd Battalion, 8th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division and Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment conducted an early morning operation and detained a suspected criminal leader shortly after 7 a.m.
"The removal of criminals sends a clear message to all criminals and terrorists across Iraq that they will be caught no matter where they travel or try to hide," said Maj. Joey Sullinger, spokesman for 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. "We are extremely happy to assist another brigade in getting a dangerous criminal off the streets as we encourage the good people of Baghdad to report insurgents and terrorists operating in their neighborhoods."
