    864th Engineer Battalion

No deconstruction project would be possible without the technical knowledge and tactical execution of the soldiers and airmen of the 84th Survey and Design Detachment, 864th Engineer Battalion “Task Force Pacemaker." Pfc. Dominic Francis measures and stakes varying distances with a Philadelphia rod at the retrosort yard in Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. This project, led by the 557th Engineer Company, will double the storage space of the Bagram Air Field retrosort yard, leading to the increased capability to store and redistribute materiel salvaged during retrograde operations from outlying forward operating bases surrounding Bagram Air Field.
