Banta, Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics, recognized James Maynor, Team Lead for Audit Response and Audit Observation, Internal Controls and Audit Readiness Team, Logistics Compliance Branch; Andrew Trout, Logistics Management Specialist for the Business Mission Area Analysis section, Logistics Compliance Branch; and Gregory Walker, Deputy Section Head, Business Mission Area Analysis Section, for their unique roles in the Marine Corps passing its fiscal year 2023 audit. The Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics team provided substantial support to the Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources to help the Marine Corps receive an unmodified audit opinion, which is the highest audit opinion that can be achieved and a first within the Department of Defense.
