OKINAWA, Japan (Jan. 13, 2024) – Lt. Jg. Azzim Williams, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, leads the battalion in transparency and ethics trainging in regard to the Meritorious Advancement Program (MAP). MAP is intended to give commanding officers the opportunity to recognize Sailors who are ready for the next level of responsibility by advancing to the next paygrade. NMCB 4 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region to support and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. As the stand-in, crisis response, naval engineering force, NMCB 4 maintains a ready posture to deliver in-theater expeditionary logistics via expeditionary shore infrastructure, forward damage repair, and mobile construction.
