Sgt. Alan Goldenshteyn, a water support technician with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logisitcs Group is one of the 87 Marines who volunteered to come to New York in support of relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy. Goldenshteyn is a native of the Bronx, N.Y. and has family in Brooklyn, areas which were in danger of being hit by Hurricane Sandy.
