    Various views in the airlock documenting preparations for one of the three Extravehicular Activities (EVAs) performed by the STS-88 crew including: mission specialist Jerry Ross in his Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMI) and Communication Carrier Assembly (CCA) (no helmet) (001-3). Pilot Rick Sturckow enters the airlock to help Ross and mission specialist James Newman with their EMUs (004). Ross in his EMU and helmet (005-6). Mission specilaist James Newman is photographed in his EMU with out a helmet (007-9) and then as his helmet in donned (010-1). Sturckow assists Newman in calibrating his suit (012). Newman adjusts his face plate (013) and Ross waves to the camera (014). Both astronauts wearing EMUs start up the airlock to prepare for their EVA (015-6,018-20). Sturckow is photographed at the entrance to the airlock (017).
