William Deligne, executive director, Program Executive Officer, Aircraft Carriers; and Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Ronald Anthony, USS West Virginia (SSBN 736), kicked off their 50/50 community outreach visit to Huntington and Charleston, W.V., Aug. 1, with a radio interview with WVHU 800 a.m. morning drive-time talk show host Tom Roten and Melanie Asbury, news team producer. The Navy's 50/50 program is designed to raise awareness among Americans in cities across the country of the tremendous investment they have in the U.S. Navy. The 50/50 program sends senior uniformed and civilian leaders to 50 cities across the United States to engage with civic leaders, government officials, corporate executives, educators, non-profit executive directors, veterans and members of the media.
