U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class J. Scott Herring, platoon sergeant, 554th MP Co. and U.S. Army Spc. Zachary Brummett, a native of Ooltewah, Tenn., string a trip wire in preparation for an improvised explosive device awareness class March 15 at Combat Outpost Zerok. The class was designed to get the AUP to react like they were in a real life situation and get them to move to safe distances away from the deadly range of the IED.
