Dr. Marc Chernick, a scholar with Georgetown University, gives a lecture about Colombia and the FARC during a morning session Feb. 17 at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. More than 60 military personnel and civilians participated in the session. During the two-week Theater Special Operations Command Staff Officer Development seminar, Special Operations Command South assigned personnel received several classes to gain a better perspective of Latin America.
