Vice Adm. Michael LeFever, commander of the Office of the Defense Representative of Pakistan, receives honors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). LeFever visited sailors and embarked Marines of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard Peleliu after they spent 10 weeks performing humanitarian relief operations in Pakistan after monsoon rains caused devastating floods throughout the country. Peleliu is the command platform for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation events in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
