Lt. Col. John K. Adams observes the pass and review of Marine Attack Squadron 223 during the relief and appointment ceremony at the unit’s hangar aboard MCAS Cherry Point, Sept. 24. During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Reginald E. Kier retired from his post after 30 years of active service in the Marine Corps. Sgt. Maj. Steven P. Brunner replaced Kier to become the 37th squadron sergeant major of VMA-223.
