Cpt. William Gorby, battalion support company commander, 2nd Battalion 19th Special Forces Group, West Virginia National Guard, receives the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Award for Leadership Excellence during a ceremony May 6 at the Pentagon. Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. George W. Casey Jr., and a representative from the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Foundation, presented the awards. The award recognizes effective junior officer leadership in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard.
