Staff Sgt. Jose Valdez and his military working dog Figo, both deployed with the 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, prepare for training at the squadron kennels during operations at a non-disclosed base in Southwest Asia, April 20. Both Valdez and Figo are deployed from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., and Valdez's hometown is Deming, N.M. The 380th ESFS, as part of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, supports operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
