Lt. Col. Dennis Bailey of the North Carolina Air National Guard's 145th Airlift Wing and Lee Burwell of the North Carolina Forest Service provide a preflight briefing to the crew on the first day of flying for the Modular Airborne Firefighting System training exercise in Greenville, S.C., April 26. Aircrews from three Air National Guard and one Air Force Reserve units provide assistance to the U.S. Forest Service, state and local agencies, and the National Interagency Fire Center in battling large, uncontrolled wildfires throughout the nation.
