Broken down wooden desks are jammed tightly together inside one of the 17 tents that are currently being used as makeshift classrooms at the Farah City District III Girls School, Jan. 4, Farah, Afghanistan. Over 1400 female students ranging in age from 7 to 25 attend school there. The Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team is preparing a report on the school for the Ministry of Education in Kabul to ensure that the government is aware of the school's issues.
