Pfc. Shakira Claudio-Rodriguez, a Soldier of the 21st Cargo Transfer Company, 620th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 96th Sustainment Brigade from Caguas, Puerto Rico, shows that every Soldier can make a difference. Pfc. Claudio is a key member of the cargo lane of the Victory Base Complex Centralized Receiving and Shipping Point. She has shown her dedication to the mission by inbounding and out bounding 5,000 pieces of cargo in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-11. Claudio proved herself to the cargo team by driving the 10K All Terrain Lifter Army System to help with the loading and unloading of the many cargo pieces cycled through the yard. Her constant hard work and attention to detail ensured that the cargo lane at the VBC CRSP maintained 100 percent accountability of freight worth over $5,000,000. She maintained the cargo flow by ensuring all cargo was labeled correctly and placed in their respective destination lanes. Pfc. Claudio joined the military to experience new and exciting things in life and to have the opportunity to further her education. She plans to graduate from Pierce College as a registered nurse and use the Green to Gold program to become an officer in the Army Medical Corps. (Photo by Sgt. Angela Mendez)
