Adm. Mark Fitzgerald, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa receives a check for $44,473.90 from Renee S. Acosta, president and CEO of Global Impact. Global Impact was selected to manage the two largest federal workplace giving campaigns, the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area and the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas, for the Department of Defense. CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally that raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal employees and military donors during the September 1 - December 15 campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
