Dallas Gilmore, a native of Kayenta, Ariz., Navajo reservation, who serves as commander of the 580th Signal Company, 25th Signal Battalion, 160th Signal Brigade, stands in front of one of his company's large communication dishes on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Oct. 31. He is responsible for the majority of communication equipment in Afghanistan, requiring his Soldiers spread throughout the country to ensure communication across Afghanistan.
