Seaman Recruit David Allen, left, gets help squaring away bedding from his stepfather, Seaman Rick Kochis, at Recruit Training Command. The pair from Calhan, Colo., received permission for a short visit before Kochis' graduation from the Navy's only boot camp. Kochis is scheduled to enter the Navy Reserve Construction Battalion and Allen, who was just beginning his recruit training, hoped to become an aviation mechanic. They will join David's brother, aviation electronics technician Petty Officer 2nd Class Andrew Allen in the fleet. Andrew Allen is serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman.
