Theresa Wittner, the administrative support assistant and command historian for Marine Corps Air Station New River, receives the Civilian of the Quarter Award from Lt. Col. Aaron W. Adams, air station executive officer and a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, during a civilian appreciation breakfast held at the Officer's Club aboard the air station, Aug. 6. From April 1 to June 30, Wittner worked to assume a shortfall in manpower during a hiring freeze, providing "impeccable support and meeting all timelines and requirements," according to the citation. She also skillfully oversaw a budget of more than $600,000.00.
