Hospitalman Brittany Jenkins, a native of Newport, R.I., was recently selected as Bluejacket of the Quarter for Naval Hospital Pensacola. Jenkins, who graduated from Rogers High School in 2010, currently serves as a dental technician at Naval Branch Health Clinic Corry Station, one of 10 clinics assigned to Naval Hospital Pensacola. Blue Jacket of the Quarter is a quarterly award given to a junior enlisted Sailor that performs above and beyond their normal scope of duties. Jenkins, who loves to sing when she is not caring for patients, was selected out of 10 other Sailors nominated for the award. Capt. Maureen Padden, commanding officer at NHP, presented Jenkins her award. For additional information, please contact NHP Public Affairs at 850-505-6796.
