Local sheiks and a soldier form the 55th Brigade, 17th Iraqi Army Division discuss the future of the area after a bridge opening ceremony in Mahmudiyah, south of Baghdad, Jan. 18. The bridge is located next to Patrol Base Copper, where Company A, 4th Battalion, 27th Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, is based. The bridge crosses the Salty River, joining two halves of the Mamour Tribe.
