Aircraft maintainers with 4th Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment help recover downed aircraft at anytime in Iraq. These Soldiers make up a Downed Aircraft Recovery Team, who either fix the aircraft onsite or help rig it up and safely transport it back to a maintenance facility for repair.
