At the end of the best warrior competition, Sgt. Maj. Philip R. Vance, the 518th Sustainment Brigade operations noncommissioned officer in charge, listens to support staff during the final after action review for the 143rd ESC Best Warrior Competition. As the competition organizer, Vance ensured all the competitors had what they needed, which included everything from billeting and food to quality training and resources. Soldiers and noncommissioned Officers from North Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida have gathered here to take part in the 143rd ESC 2014 Best Warrior competition happening March 6-9. These Soldiers, having already won their respective local unit competitions, have come to vie for title of 143rd Non-Commissioned Officer or Soldier of the Year with the winners moving on to the 377th Theater Sustainment Command Best Warrior Competition in April.
