Diane Dunn, who lives in Newburgh, with her husband Jim and her son, Marcus, was promoted to the rank of Colonel in the Maine Army National Guard at a ceremony June 30. Dunn will become the first woman in Maine to be a brigade commander when she assumes command of the 120th Regional Support Group later this summer.
