Soldiers with the Vallejo, Calif.-based 349th Quartermaster Company, attached to the Fort Bragg, N.C.-based 82nd Sustainment Brigade-U.S. Central Command Materiel Recovery Element sort through uniform items March 20 at the Kandahar Airfield retrosort yard that will be either returned to the U.S. military either for use in theater or shipped to other bases throughout the world. Soldiers with the 349th QM Company play a vital role in achieving the 82nd SB-CMRE materiel reduction mission, ensuring reusable items make it back into the U.S. military inventory and saving tax payer money.
