PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Coast Guardsmen assigned to Sector Jacksonville in Atlantic Beach, Fla., volunteered to collect and bag oyster shells at Guanna Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. Their efforts were in support of the Community Oyster Shell Recycling and Living Reef Restoration Project, with a goal of restoring a lost shoreline and luring oysters to rebuild oyster beds where they once lived.
