Lt. Jeff Bowman, commander, U.S. 7th Fleet planner, works alongside a Republic of Korea counterpart during the final stages of exercise Ulchi Freedom Guardian 08. The amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge and embarked U.S. 7th Fleet Staff are in Busan participating in UFG, an exercise designed to evaluate and improve combined and joint coordinating, procedures, plans and systems for conducting operations between the Republic of Korea and U.S. forces.
