NATO E-3A Component celebrates 10,000 flight hours in support of Afghanistan operation
A NATO AWACS sits on the flightline at Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. On Oct. 26, 2013, the NATO E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Component reached a significant milestone of 10,000 flight hours in support of Operation Afghan Assist (OAA). This is a remarkable accomplishment reflecting almost 1,000 missions in support of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) during this past two and a half years.
