230617-N-IG124-1001 - 25th-anniversary logo designed especially for the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The 33 stars represent the ship's namesake, President Harry S. Truman, as the 33rd president of the United States. The four aircraft represents the airwing and types of aircraft that augment the ship while deployed, with the fixed-wing aircraft banking in the distance and a helicopter hovering above the ship. The logo aligned with the Truman Media Department's branding guide, designed by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Thomas Boatright, that guides the department's graphic design efforts. The logo was a critical element of the 25th-anniversary communication plan, and 3,500 hard hat stickers of the design were printed and distributed to every Truman Sailor and Norfolk Naval Shipyard employee working on the ship in celebration of the anniversary.
