    European Best Medic Competion Logo

The European Best Medic Competition logo was created to promote the inaugural competition. The two medical Soldiers kneeling down to aid a wounded Soldier on the ground were used as a primary graphic element to depict the intent of the competition - to test the ability of United States Army's Combat Medics. The crest of U.S. Army Europe and Africa and the crest of Medical Readiness Command, Europe on top of the logo depict the two organizations leading the competition. The Red Cross is internationally recognized as a symbol of medical care representing the Combat Medic's mission. Long associated with medicine, blood/life, and healing. The use of the entwined serpent recalls the Caduceus (staff), an ancient symbol of healing. The words "European Best Medic Competition" are written below in bold so those who see the logo can become familiar with the name of the new competition. The black, white, and golden yellow color scheme was used throughout to conform to the U.S. Army Europe and Africa branding color scheme.
