100 Black Men of America, Inc. is a community-based organization that was created to improve the quality of life and enhance the educational and economic opportunities for African Americans, particularly young people, through mentorship. The organization currently has over 10,000 members and more than 100,000 youth participants annually in its mentoring and youth development programs. The Marine Corps has partnered with the 100 Black Men of America to educate the leaders of the organization about the opportunities the Marine Corps can provide both inside and outside the Corps, as well as give the Marine Corps the opportunity to directly connect with quality African American officer prospects through activations with the Collegiate 100. The 2014 Symposium will be held in Florida from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14.
