Sailors spend Flag Day with Senior veterans
Sailors from Navy Operational Support Center Ventura County visited two assisted living homes in the Santa Clarita area to spend time with World War II, Korean and Vietnam veterans on Flag Day, June 14. VITAS Innovative Hospice Care arranged the visits at the Pacific Senior Living and the Sunrise Senior Living assisted living centers.

BALTOPS ‘13 moves into Wargame Phase
Maritime and aviation forces participating in Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2013, the 41st rendition of the annual exercise, have moved into the wargame phase of the multi-national, training event.

Navy EOD Techs awarded Bronze Stars
Two Sailors from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 2 were awarded the Bronze Star Medal for their actions during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan during an award ceremony held on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLCFS), June 18.
