Press Release: Base traffic congestion to be eased with opening of new entrance Thursday
The commute on and off Camp Lejeune is about to get a little easier. Beginning Thursday, July 31, two inbound lanes starting at the intersection of Bell Fork Road and NC-24 and ending at Brewster Boulevard are scheduled to be open weekday mornings between 5:30 and 8 a.m. to authorized base personnel, while its two outbound lanes will be open 24/7.


Marines, sailors, Coast Guard will conduct military exercise on St. Johns River
Marines, sailors, Coast Guardsmen and civilian personnel with Combat Logistics Regiment 25, Naval Beach Group Two, Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island and U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville will conduct a Maritime Prepositioning Force Exercise in the St. Johns River area during the month of August.

SP-MAGTF-Africa helps out local community
SP-MAGTF-Africa helps out local communityApproximately 20 Marines and Sailors with the second iteration of SP-MAGTF Africa 14 partnered with Sailors aboard Naval Air Station Sigonella, Catania locals, and local dignitaries. The service members cleaned and rearranged items inside the Ursino Castle, which is located in the heart of downtown Catania, Italy, July 24.
