The Minnesota Twins Baseball Organization will host a pre-game ceremony Sept. 5 at Target Field in commemoration of the original Twins Platoon, who was sworn into the United States Marine Corps in June of 1967. The United States Marines will recognize the Corps' future by enlisting 24 men and women into a modern day Twins Platoon. These enlistees will report to the Marine Corps recruit depot at Parris Island, S.C., or San Diego the following day.
