KABUL, Afghanistan - Insurgents killed two Afghan civilians and wounded four others with indirect fire near the Musa Khel district center in Khost province July 15.
"As ISAF partners with Afghan security forces to deliver security to the Afghan people, we expect the insurgents to target our forces. But once again, we see that the insurgents' indiscriminate use of indirect fire in a heavily populated civilian area has killed and injured several innocent civilians," said Col. James Dawkins, ISAF Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center director.
According to ISAF records, insurgents have killed 76 civilians and wounded 147 more in the past two weeks alone.
