KABUL, Afghanistan - An International Security Assistance Force service member was killed in an improvised explosive device strike in southern Afghanistan today.
This is an Operation Moshtarak-related casualty.
It is ISAF policy to defer identification procedures for casualties to the relevant national authorities.
