BAGHDAD – Iraqi security forces conducted a joint security operation while searching suspected terrorist houses in the district of Rusafa on Feb. 13.
During the search, Iraqi police, Iraqi national police and Iraqi army forces found and confiscated weapons at a suspected terrorist house in the Mustanslrya neighborhood of the Rusafa district in eastern Baghdad that contained nine AK-47 machine guns, several machine gun magazines, three pistols, radios and miscellaneous chemicals.
"The IPs and NPs worked well together, providing excellent security during the operation," said 1st. Lt. Emily Lynds, platoon leader, 132nd Military Police Company, 95th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, Multi-National Division-Baghdad. "This is a great example of Iraqi security forces combining their strength for the betterment of the Iraqi people."
The Iraqi police and national police provided security while the Iraqi army searched the suspected house.
