    Logistics Support Area Anaconda, Iraq – Newly appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy Adm. Michael G. Mullen, visited service members and staff at the Air Force Theater Hospital, Oct. 4.

    Of troops on the ground, Mullen said he wanted to get a good focus on what is concerning service members and their families.

    "I came to thank them for a job well done," said Mullen. "Some have been out here for 14 months; that's a long time and I want to hear what's on their minds and say thanks."

    Mullen was sworn in as the 17th chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Oct. 1, in the District of Columbia.

    The Air Force Theater Hospital is the largest medical facility in theater and is equivalent to a stateside Level 1 trauma center.
