Military personnel in US Army ACU (Army Combat Uniform) are conducting what appears to be a combat casualty care training exercise. A soldier wearing a high-visibility orange safety vest is administering medical treatment to a simulated casualty lying on a litter/stretcher on a gravel surface. A second uniformed soldier stands nearby holding what appears to be a medical instrument or syringe.

Knoxville, Tenn., native Spc. Joe Ankenbauer prepares to administer an IV to Spc. Joshua Walston of Paradise, Texas, during the Bushmaster PT Competition held at North Fort Hood on May 28. Both Soldiers are assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division and were taking part in the competition, which incorporated several of the individual warrior tasks that they have been training on recently.
