Staff Sgt. Jason Kudla, standardization operator, 504th Military Intelligence Company and native of Indian Mills, N.J., explains the dynamics of the unmanned aerial vehicle to William J. Lynn III, deputy secretary of defense, during his visit at Forward Operating Base Kalsu Sept. 11. Following the UAV demonstration, 9th Engineer Battalion Soldiers showed Lynn the different vehicles used for route clearances and 172nd Support Battalion showed him their maintenance capabilities.
