Col. Martin B. Pitts, commander, 16th Sustainment Brigade, pins a Purple Heart on to Sgt. David Leos, team leader, Bravo Company, 184th Infantry, 30th Combat Sustainment Battalion, 16th Sust. Bde., at a ceremony here July 7. The San Jose, Calif., native earned the Purple Heart for wounds suffered during an improvised explosion device blast March 12, 2009. The Bravo Co. "Bushmasters" are part of the California Nation Guard out of Dublin, and are scheduled to wrap up their deployment later this month.
