Two Coast Guard law enforcement crews provide a security zone around the USS Vella Gulf as it makes way through New York Harbor during the parade of ships, the kickoff to New York City's Fleet Week '09, May 20. The parade of ships included vessels from the Canadian and United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. Fleet Week is a weeklong event where mariners from around the world are celebrated in a series of maritime oriented events.
