Gen. retired Jay Garner, 1991 commander, Operation Provide Comfort, mingle after the performances at the America Kurdistan Friendship Association's monthly event, Irbil, Iraq, Jan. 31. The Barzani family is a very influential family in the Kurdistan region and these two former U.S. military leaders are considered heroes among the Kurdistan people.
