Col. Ted Martin, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, presents Brig. Gen. Shakir, commander of the 1st National Police (Mechanized) Brigade, the trophy for beating the 1st "Raider" Brigade women's volleyball team during a friendly competition at Forward Operating Base Falcon, Iraq. The Raider Team challenged the NP team captain, Shakir, once they learned that the NP's commanding officer also played volleyball, and had three former professional players on his team to a friendly game. Martin, a native of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., encouraged and coordinated the event between his Iraqi security forces counterparts and the Raider Brigade junior leaders.
