It’s an everlasting memory when a senior military leader visits a unit during a deployment.
“It’s a once in a career opportunity,” said U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Dusty Kiner, the first sergeant for B Battery, 1-147 FAB. “It’s not every day the Army National Guard command sergeant major shows up to your unit while you’re training.”
Leaders visiting deployed unit, specifically National Guard, shows we’re a family.
“It really tells the Soldiers, the Army National Guard is aware of what we’re doing and paying attention to what missions we’re performing,” said Kiner.
