Ready Battalion Soldiers of the 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion bade farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Max J. JeanPhilippe and welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Arturo A. Romero Jr. as the battalion’s new senior noncommissioned officer during a change of responsibility ceremony Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Now in their second winter of testing, the Arctic Angels of the 11th are continuing to push the limits of the prototype Cold Temperature and Arctic Protection System to give the Army informed feedback on what a new cold-weather clothing system needs to be able to do to survive in the Arctic. A mission that was laid out in the Army’s 2021 document, Regaining Arctic Dominance.
