Santiago, Chile -- In the wake of the highly successful FIDAE 2024, the Annual State Partnership Planning Meeting (ASPPM) convened in Santiago, April 15, 2024, bringing together senior leaders from Texas and Chile to discuss a range of pivotal topics, including technological advances, border security concerns, military deployment and operations, and the strengthening of bilateral partnerships.

Command Sgt. Maj. Frederick M. Hurd, Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) of the Texas Military Department said, "Representing the 25,000 plus soldiers and airmen of Texas, I am humbled to be present as their representative for the long partnership that we've had with the Chilean forces."

This strategic assembly, held shortly after Latin America's premier aerospace event, underscored the deepening ties between the two regions. The ASPPM discussions highlighted the mutual benefits of cooperation, particularly in the context of defense and technology.
Texas representatives shared insights into innovative technologies that could bolster border security and streamline military operations.
"The partnership between Texas and Chile, reinforced by the ASPPM, is poised to grow, evolve and explore new frontiers in aerospace and defense," said Brig. Gen. Andrew J. Camacho.
Chilean officials, in turn, provided updates on regional security dynamics and the potential for joint military exercises.
The dialogue also touched upon the recent FIDAE 2024, where both Texas and Chile had significant presences. The fair's focus on aerospace and defense innovations offered a backdrop for discussions on collaborative research and development initiatives.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to a lasting partnership. This alliance, built on shared values and strategic interests, promises to yield exponential and synergistic results. The ASPPM serves as a testament to the enduring collaboration between Texas and Chile, fostering a relationship that extends beyond mere transactional interactions to one of genuine partnership and mutual growth.
